About Me

Thank you for being here

In 1998 there was a 17 year old girl with a dream to be a recognized photographer. With this dream came the determination to learn how to use her 1982 Pentax film camera using national geographic magazines for inspiration. With the help of her art teacher and another mentor she started mastering the technicality of the camera and moved on to digital cameras when they were introduced.

9 years later she became a renowned, 12x published, award winning wedding, landscape and nature photographer.

Previously known as WayItWas Photography she semi retired from weddings and changed her name to Deirdre Ann Photography to suit her new but old style.

She is a Waterford, Ontario resident that photographs places and moments in her life, creates images and loves to share what she sees with an artistic eye.

If you were to ask her what her favourite thing to photograph would be, she would say "macro insects."

Currently working on mastering  macro photography.

"Thank you for taking the time to explore my life through the eyes of a camera"
